Never measure off a screen — The appliqué template is the only sheet that must print at exactly 1:1. It is A4, and the whole sheet is the patchwork area — the squares deliberately run off all four edges, so the edge of the paper is the edge of the area. You draw round the paper on the cloth. Print at 100% (“Actual size”, not “Fit to page”), then measure from the left edge of the paper to the last printed line: it must be 270 mm, nine squares. If it is short, the print scaled — reprint.
